Truck Bed Canopy
"Truck bed canopy" and "pickup canopy" name the same product from two markets: a rigid, lockable cover over the pickup bed, from waist height to full cab height. The listed line here covers both heights — full-height aluminium canopies at US$819–949 (three-door models at US$819–839; the four-side waterproof locking 4x4 at US$929–949) and a half-height three-door hard top bucket cover at US$745–799 — all at a minimum order of 10 pieces, detailed on the pickup truck canopies page. This page is about the term itself: what a bed canopy must do, and the specification questions that separate a fitted product from a generic box.
What a bed canopy must do
Four jobs. Lock: the cargo behind it is the point — locking is stated on the hard tailbox and on the four-side waterproof flagship; on the other listings it is a specification item to confirm, not to assume. Access: three doors (both sides plus the tail) rather than tailgate-only, so the bed is usable from the kerb in traffic — stated on three of the four listings here; confirm it on the fourth. Weather: a canopy that leaks at the front bulkhead is a bucket, so sealing belongs in the quoted specification. And load: a full-height canopy is also a platform — fleets mount racks and roof tents above it, which makes its roof rating a specification item, not a surprise. Ask for all four in the enquiry, by name.
The aluminium question
The line's own split — full aluminium against galvanised steel/aluminium on the half-height cover — is the material decision in miniature. Aluminium is the weight and corrosion answer for working trucks and coastal markets; galvanised steel is the price answer. Neither is wrong; the specification sheet for your chosen model is where the choice becomes real, so request it, with weights, before committing a 10-piece order. The aluminium pickup canopy page covers the all-aluminium formats specifically.
Ordering notes
MOQ 10 pieces. Fitment is model-specific: send truck model, year and bed size, and confirm fitment, specification, price and lead time in writing before payment.
